It’s wins all the way for Luso

Luso Africa FC’s senior sides celebrate another win in the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League.

Luso Africa FC continued their string of wins in the Eastern Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League when they beat Sporting Football Club 2-1 in an away match, recently.

Luso’s first team started strongly, scoring their first goal within the opening minutes, by Igor Ivanov who headed the ball passed the Sporting goalkeeper.

The home side soon responded and was able to score a goal and equalise the match, however, they missed their chance to take the lead.

Luso responded with renewed energy and were rewarded with another goal, scored by Chagan Kruger, pushing the club into the lead and winning them the match.

Luso’s reserve team were not as successful, drawing their difficult match against Sporting’s reserve team 1-1.

The early stages of the encounter seemed completely dominated by Luso and Dario Pereira was able to score the match’s first goal.

However, the home team responded moments later, equalising the match, heading into half-time.

The second half saw the two teams evenly matched with neither giving an inch.

The final whistle sounded without either team scoring another goal.

Sporting FC has since pulled out of the Super League.

Other results:

  • Luso’s SAB team recently beat Vosloorus United 3-0 and Ace Auto Ayoba Academy 2-1.

The team is currently sitting in second position on the log and is pushing hard to regain the top spot.

  • Luso’s women’s team recently began their SAFA Ekurhuleni Women’s League campaign, playing their first game against the Tigers Football Club. They won the match 11-0 with Deme Kapatos, Chanel Fisher, Taylor Labuschagne and Nadine Jason all scoring goals for the side.
