Office ransacked in business break-in

Two men have been apprehended in connection with a Rietfontein Road business break-in.

Two men, aged 28 and 35 years old respectively, were recently arrested by the Primrose police for business break-in.

It is alleged that the two men broke into a business in Rietfontein Road, in Primrose.

The complainant told officers that he was home when he heard his business’ alarm going off.

“After a few minutes the complainant’s security company and officers from the Primrose Police Station arrived on the scene.

“With their help the business owner inspected the property and discovered that the back door of the business was wide open and the office had been ransacked,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

A control box, alarm system and filing cabinet were damaged during the break-in.

Police were able to trace two men believed to be responsible for the crime.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
