Sire power in Ndoro National Yearling Sale draft

Four high quality yearlings from this stud.

Ndoro Stud will offer four high quality yearlings (one as agent) at the 2017 National Yearling Sale.

The foursome is made up of lots sired by such exciting and high profile stallions as Duke Of Marmalade, Elusive Fort, Philanthropist and Twice Over.

Five time G1 winner and Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade, one of Danehill’s very best sons, is a proven sire, with his 30 plus stakes winners including no fewer than four major European classic winners.

The Duke is responsible for lot 293 –a well related colt whose three-time winning dam is a half-sister to G1 Met winner Martial Eagle and recent G3 Algoa Cup hero Nebula.

His fast, G3 placed second dam is a sister in blood to G1 SA Classic winner Divine Jury and this is also the family of Triple Tiara winning champion Cherry On The Top.

Equus Champion and triple G1 winner Elusive Fort is one of South Africa’s most exciting young sires, with his small first crops having produced the likes of such notable G1 fillies Safe Harbour, Lauderdale and Siren’s Call.

He is also the sire of lot 214 –a filly, bred on the same cross as G1 Thekwini Stakes winning Elusive Fort filly Lauderdale, out of a winning Western Winter three-quarter sister to Horse of the Year and five time G1 winner Yard-Arm.

This is also the family of recent Triple Crown winner Abashiri.

Former leading sire in North America (on synthetics) and a proven sire of champions, the blue blooded Philanthropist made a blazing start in South Africa, with his first crop producing graded winners She’s A Giver and Singapore Sling and Derby Trial runner up Lee’s Pick.

He is also the sire of lot 236, a colt out of a winning Western Winter half-sister to stakes winner Limerick, dam of Dubai based G1 Cape Guineas winner Noah From Goa.

Other notable relatives including G2 Al Rashidiya winner Forries Waltz and G1 Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner, and this colt traces back directly in female line to the great race mare Gladness.

Four time G1 winner and European champion Twice Over has proved very popular in the sales ring this year and his yearlings have fetched up to R2.1-million this year.

He is responsible for lot 65 –a colt out of a winning half-sister to stakes winner Grandalea, whose four time winning second dam is a sister in blood to Equus Champion and triple G1 winning sire Capetown Noir.
