Flying Squad arrests man for possession of nyaope

A man was recently apprehended, in Primrose, with five packets of nyaope in his possession.

While members of the Gauteng Flying Squad were on patrol in Primrose recently, they arrested a 23-year-old man.

The accused was charged with possession of drugs, after officers found five packets of nyaope in his possession.

“They first noticed the man acting suspiciously at the corner of Rietfontein and Cactus roads.

“After stopping him and identifying themselves, officers searched the man and found the drugs,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

He was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, where he was detained pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
