Cops allegedly find drugs in man’s pocket in Tedstoneville

A 26-year-old man was arrested by the Elsburg SAPS for allegedly being in possession of drugs and dagga.

During a stop-and-search operation, last Wednesday, in Tedstoneville, a man was arrested for being in possession of drugs and dagga.

The Elsburg SAPS Task Team was busy with the operation in Ibis Street when they noticed a suspicious man.

Due to the high volume of crime in the area they stopped him.

“They searched the man and found drugs and dagga in his pocket,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.

“They took him to the post office and weighed the drugs, which amounted to six grams.”

The 26-year-old man was arrested and detained at the Elsburg Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on a charge of possession of drugs and dagga.
