It was a busy weekend for the Katlehong police with the arrest of 51 suspects.
The suspects were arrested during several operations held by the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit with the help of the detectives from the Katlehong Police Station from March 10 to 12.
People were arrested for a number of different offences.
Charges included, assault, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, theft, shoplifting, robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, child neglect, driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drugs (including dagga and nyaope).
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
