Primrose High athletes do their best

Primrose High School is thrilled with the school’s improvement in athletics this year.

Primrose High School’s athletes have been hard at work out on the athletics track and field.

This year the school has seen a massive improvement in their athletics.

They recently competed in both the Inter-Technical and Inter-High events and attained third position out of six schools at both of them.

At the Inter-Technical event Die Anker, from Brakpan, took top honours and Hoërskool Hans Moore came second, while at the Inter-High event, first position went to Hoërskool Goudrif and second to Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston.

Out of these two events 18 athletes were chosen to compete at the Greater Germiston event which took place on Wednesday at Germiston Stadium.

The children selected at this event were due to compete in the D6 athletics event, on Tuesday, also at Germiston Stadium.

Fifteen athletes, namely, Misha Dzimba, Thato Hlaeli, Nozipho Khama, Anele Khubeka, Sizwe Makua, Lindo Makam, Shipo Mazibuko, Itumeleng Molai, Asiphe Mzodndi, Monqindi Ngcali, Percy Radebe, Tshepo Sebeko, Cebo Tshabalala, Gerald Zvenyika and Muzi Zwani, were chosen for the D6 team.
