A 30-year-old man was arrested recently by the Primrose police in connection with an August 2016 stabbing.
“The incident took place in the Makause informal settlement in August last year.
“It is reported that the accused stabbed the victim with a sharp object,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries; however, he died later.
“Officers have been searching for the suspect since the victim’s death and were able to recently trace and arrest him,” Maome said.
He was detained at the Primrose Police Station, and appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for a bail application.
