A 40-year-old male was arrested for an attempted smash-and-grab in Germiston, recently.
Germiston SAPS members were patrolling in the area when they noticed two men attempting to smash-and-grab a motorist at the intersection of Junction and Johann Rissik roads.
The suspects ran and police gave chase and managed to arrest one man who was found in possession of spark plugs that are used as car-breaking tools.
The suspect was detained at the Germiston Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
