Laerskool Die President was abuzz as pupils took their seats in anticipation of another academic year, on Wednesday.
The new Grade Ones were thrilled to be at ‘big school’ and to start learning.
Though the first day of school was both exciting and scary for the little ones, they settled down quickly and started work
Principal Sybrand van Dyk could hardly contain his excitement, as he welcomed old and new students to the school for another year.
“I wish all the students and teachers all of the best for the year ahead,” van Dyk said.
Overall, the school had a smooth start to the academic year.
