Charlize Herman was the top achieving matric scholar at Leeuwenhof Akademie in the 2016 IEB matric examinations. She attained nine distinctions in accounting, Afrikaans, business studies, computer applications technology, economics, English, information technology, life orientation and maths. She also achieved 73 per cent for advanced applied maths. She will be studying to become an actuary.
Leeuwenhof Akademie is thrilled with its 2016 IEB matric examination results.
The results were released last Friday and the school achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.
Leeuwenhof had 55 matric candidates who sat their final exams and between them, they attained 108 distinctions.
The school had nine subjects with an average above 70 per cent, including maths which was 72 per cent.
All 55 learners received university exemption.
Candidates who performed exceptionally well, were Charlize Herman with nine distinctions, Jo-Mari Rothmann and An-Marie van Deventer with seven distinctions – and Sarel Breedt and Pieter Coetzer with six distinctions.
The school wishes their matrics of 2016 good luck with their plans for the future.

An-Marie van Deventer was happy with the seven distinctions she achieved in her IEB matric exams. The Leeuwenhof Akademie learner attained distinctions in Afrikaans, English, history, life orientation, life sciences, maths and physical sciences. She plans to go into the veterinary field.
Jo-Mari Rothmann, a scholar from Leeuwenhof Akademie, attained seven distinctions in her IEB matric exams. They were in English, accounting, life orientation, life sciences, mathematics, physical sciences and advanced applied maths. She will be studying medicine this year.
With six distinctions, Sarel Breedt from Leeuwenhof Akademie is on track to study a BCom Accounting degree this year. He achieved distinctions in accounting, Afrikaans, engineering graphics and design, English, life orientation and maths.
