Hoërskool Goudrif principal thrilled with his school’s results.

There was great excitement at Hoërskool Goudrif on Thursday, as the school celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate.

Principal Marius Mills told the GCN he was pleased and grateful that they’d received such good results.

The ‘Class of 2016’ was made up of 104 matric learners, who achieved 21 distinctions between them.

Mills said he was extremely pleased with the fact that 67.3 per cent of the learners attained university exemption, 30.7 per cent managed diploma passes and 1.9 per cent, got higher certificate passes.

The school’s top achievers were: Suzette Nel with four distinctions in English, Afrikaans, life orientation and life sciences; Zunika van Niekerk with three distinctions in Afrikaans, English and business studies; and Charnelle Kruger with three distinctions in maths literacy, life orientation and tourism.

“I’m proud of the learners and very happy with the results,” Mills said.
