Smiles, laughter and a few tears for Hoërskool Primrose High School matrics

Hoërskool Primrose High School students celebrate as they receive their matric results.

André Grobler, principal of Primrose High School, was thrilled to announce that the school achieved a 97.6 per cent pass rate for 2016.

A total of 170 matrics sat their final examinations at the school, earning 64 distinctions between them.

“I’m very proud of both the students and the teachers, for all the hard work throughout the year.

“As I always say: ‘work hard and God will do the rest’,” said Grobler.

The school’s top achieving students were:

  •  Liezel Sephesu: who achieved five distinctions in mathematics, life orientations, computer applications technology, life sciences and physical sciences.
  •  Puseletso Methe: who achieved three distinctions in Afrikaans, tourism and life orientation.
  •  Nokuthula Khwasha: who achieved three distinctions in mathematics, life science and life orientation.
  •  Bibi Ahmed-Ismail: who achieved three distinctions in Afrikaans, mathematics literacy and life orientation.

“We wish our learners all the best for the future,” Grobler added proudly.
