Local restaurant to hold special fund-raiser for animals

K’s Family Restaurant cares about the welfare of animals.

Local restaurant K’s Family Restaurant will be holding a special fund-raising event on December 4, in aid of the Germiston SPCA.

The main goal of the event is to collect as many tinned cat and dog food products as possible to create the biggest tinned Christmas tree.

Ten per cent of all the sales on the day will be donated to the SPCA’s Christmas Cheer Fund.

The restaurant opens at 8am for breakfast and at lunch-time a set Sunday lunch will be offered.

From 2pm patrons can enjoy either bingo or a quiz, the proceeds of which will also go to the SPCA.

All patrons are requested to bring along a tin of animal food.

The restaurant is also offering 10 flea market stalls in the parking area to people who wish to come along and sell their wares.

There will be no charge for the stalls, however stall holders are asked to donate 10 per cent of their earnings to the fund-raiser.

The day will be filled with lots of fun and prizes, and the community is urged to support this worthy cause.

K’s Family Restaurant is situated on the corner of Karen Avenue and Mackay Road in Lambton Gardens.

For more information about the event contact K’s on 081 356 0360 or the Germiston SPCA on 011 825-5033.
