Salon’s livelihood cut short after theft

A man was arrested by the Primrose police after he allegedly broke into a local salon and robbed it.

A local salon owner was recently devastated when she discovered her Pretoria Road business had been robbed.

“She called the Primrose police to the scene and explained that she had arrived at the salon to find the door had been forced open,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

She told officers that the perpetrator had made off with hair products, nail products, towels, caps, aprons, mirrors, hair clippers, a cellphone, blow dryers and straighteners, valued at about R60 000.

Police were able to trace a 30-year-old man who was allegedly responsible for the crime.

He was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
