Elsburg CPF hosts great fund-raiser

Elsburg CPF hosted an exciting fund-raiser at Hoërskool Elsburg.

Great fun was had at Elsburg Community Police Forum’s (CPF) family fun day, held at Hoërskool Elsburg recently.

The event was aimed at raising funds for the CPF.

“The forum is in need of funds for items that will help improve our operation,” said the event coordinator, Amanda van Straaten.

“The funds will be used to buy bulletproof vests, car magnet stickers and reflector jackets.”

Amanda added that they are still to confirm the total amount of funds raised.

The event also served as a great family outing, with children enjoying time on the jumping castle and having their faces painted by Harcourts Heloman, through the help of Leonora Swart.

People had a variety of food stalls to choose from.

“It was a great event; thanks to everyone who came and joined in the fun,” commented Amanda.

“We also appreciate everything our sponsors did to make the day the success it was.

“Thank you to Ink Graphics Alberton, Hannes Nieuwoudt (Hoërskool Elsburg principal), plus In City Security’s John Sizer and Debbie Potgieter, for the guards they provided for us.

“We also extend our gratitude to Feinschmaker, Bloo-loo for helping us with toilets and Chad Hodgkinson and Warren Pick, for making sure we had Netcare 911 paramedics at our event.”

Live performances by Leroi, Cowboy, Renier van Straaten, WilmaDee and Marzjeanne ensured that everyone was singing and dancing.

“Another heartfelt thank you goes to Hyundai Germiston – and Mark and JP Taljaard who brought along their exciting V8 Outlaw sprint cars,” concluded Amanda.
