A human skull was recently unearthed in Katlehong South.
The skull was found between the Silumaview Section and the Natalspruit River.
“It is believed that the skull belongs to the body which was found earlier this year a few metres away from this skull,” said Capt Mega Ndobe from the Ekurhuleni West Cluster.
“During an inspection of the skull we discovered that there were several gold teeth and the hair was pushed back which leads investigators to believe that it is a woman’s head.”
Police continue to investigate the find and the head has been taken by the Forensic Unit for further testing.
