The Katlehong South police, EMPD and Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit have been hard at work.
Through several crime prevention operations, which included stop-and-searches and roadblocks in various locations within the area, 56 suspects were arrested.
The suspects were arrested on different charges.
These included driving under the influence of alcohol, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, shoplifting, possession of suspected stolen property, domestic violence and possession of drugs, including dagga.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for different reasons.
