One business robbery suspect arrested, three still at large

Man arrested for Rietfontein Road business robbery.

A Rietfontein Road business owner was opening his store, on September 30, as usual, when he noticed the lock of his storeroom was broken.

He inspected the room and discovered that a washing machine had been taken, so he called the Primrose police and opened a case of business robbery.

“Officers asked to see the CCTV footage.

“They saw on the footage that a woman and three men had loaded the washing machine onto a bakkie and driven away,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

Following several leads officers were able to arrest one of the men seen on the footage.

The 48-year-old was arrested last Monday, October 3.

Police are still hunting for the remaining suspects.

The accused will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
