Primrose police target criminals

The Primrose police arrested 41 suspects from September 19 to 25.

The Primrose police arrested 41 suspects in the Primrose area from September 19 to 25.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were arrested on several different charges including, possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, dealing in liquor without a licence, theft, rape, businessbreaking and theft, contempt of court and warrant of arrest.

Several illegal immigrants were also arrested in the area, during this period.

The Primrose police’s acting station commander, Lieut-Col Solly Maswanganyi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
