The Germiston SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a woman was shot and killed on September 16 in Delville.
Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston police, said, “At about 11.30pm it is alleged the woman was followed from a pub in Delville.
“As the victim opened her gate a man approached her and started wrestling with her for her handbag.”
Raphulu added that according to an eye witness the perpetrator pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Two shots were fired which killed the woman.
“The suspect then ran away with the victim’s handbag.
“Police are investigating the matter and no arrests have been made,” said Raphulu.
