EMPD assists in the arrest of 41 suspects

The Primrose Police Station released their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police, with the assistance of the EMPD, have been hard at work trying to crackdown on crime in Primrose.

Together the officers arrested 41 suspects for various crimes from September 12 to 18.

Suspects were arrested on several charges including, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, dealing in liquor without a licence, theft, fraud, concealment of birth, armed robbery, shoplifting, corruption, common robbery and warrant of arrest.

Several illegal immigrants were also arrested in the area, during this period.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
