Man found with dagga and unlicensed firearm

A man was arrested in Dukathole after police received a tip-off that he was selling dagga.

Acting on a tip-off from the community the Germiston police travelled to Dukathole, on Wednesday, in search of a 23-year-old man dealing in dagga.

Officers were able to find the man at the address given by the informant and proceeded to search him and his home.

During the search they found dagga, as well as an unlicensed firearm with six rounds of ammunition.

The man was arrested and taken to the Germiston Police Station.

“The matter is under police investigation,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.
