Show you care and donate to the elderly
Donations of tinned food are needed to make sure elderly citizens are fed.
The elderly form an important part of the community and the GCN supports International Day for Older Persons, which falls on October 1.
To this end the GCN is collecting cans of non-perishable food to donate to the Germiston Association for the Aged (Gafa).
The items will be handed over to Gafa on October 5 at a special concert for the elderly planned by the organisation.
The food will be distributed by Gafa to elderly citizens who need it most in their service centres.
All donations of tinned food would be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be dropped off at the GCN’s offices at 25 Main Road, Fishers’ Hill until October 4.
