Rita Fleming-Venter from Estra is tired of what she described as a major water leak in Baker Road.
“The meter has been leaking for six weeks, but nobody seems to care,” she said when she first reported the matter to the GCN in July.
She later explained that the meter had been repaired and the leak stopped but only a few days later the leak was back.
Despite numerous calls to the metro to report that the meter was once again leaking nothing was done.
“The leak wasn’t properly fixed from the very beginning,” she said.
The GCN contacted the metro to find out why the leak had not been properly repaired and when a team would be sent out to repair the leak.
“The two provided reference numbers are linked to two different properties adjacent to one another,” explained spokesman for the metro, Themba Gadebe.
“An inspection will be done to confirm which meter is leaking and a team will be sent out to carry out the repairs by Friday, August 26.”
