Alert: Brace yourself Gauteng in for a cold snap, strong winds

A cold front is on its way to Gauteng, this is according to the South Africa Weather Service.

Residents can expect the daytime temperatures to drop to the low twenties, high teens from today, with the nights expected to be just above zero.

The service has also warned residents of strong and damaging winds that will affect Gauteng from today until Wednesday.

These winds will be most prominent in the afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to head back into the high twenties from Thursday.
