Helping families in need

Needy families from the Makause informal settlement recently received much-needed donations.

Members of the SAPS recently visited the Makause informal settlement to hand out hampers to families in need.

Seven child-headed families were identified by the community to receive the donations collected by the community of Sector Two in Primrose and the Avril Elizabeth Home.

The hampers consisted of much-needed groceries and clothes.

Deputy cluster commander Brig Phumla Ndlankomo and station commander of the Primrose Police Station Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi joined the officers at the event.

“We thank all stakeholders involved in making it such a memorable day,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
