Man leads police to his attacker

A 31-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for allegedly shooting a man.

While standing outside a shack in the Makause informal settlement recently, a man was shot in the upper body.

The victim travelled to the Primrose Police Station to open a case after the incident.

“He told the police there was no reason behind the shooting and that the 31-year-old man had simply shot him,” said Sgt Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose police.

He led the officers to the shack where he was shot.

“The police identified themselves and entered the shack, where they found a .38 special revolver and five rounds of live ammunition,” said Maome.

The man was arrested and charged with attempted murder and the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
