Katlehong South police are investigating the attempted murder of two taxi association owners.
The men were recently shot at while responding to a complaint near the Kwesine hostel.
“It is believed that the call was not a real complaint and was rather just a plan to lure the owners to the area,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications office for the Katlehong SAPS.
“The men were ambushed and shot at, and this caused them to lose control of the BMW they were driving.”
No arrests have been made but police have received information that two men were responsible for the shooting.
“According to the information from witnesses, two people armed with pistols were seen at the scene of the crime,” said Ndobe.
The two victims were taken to hospital with multiple bullet wounds.
