Man shot and wounded in housebreaking

Netcare 911 paramedics were called to the scene of a housebreaking where a 65-year-old man was shot and wounded.

A 65-year-old man has been shot and wounded during a housebreaking on Rigel Street, in Germiston.

The robbery reportedly took place on Monday, June 13, at around 1.30pm.

This according to Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.

“Paramedics managed to stabilise the wounded man on scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical care,” said Mathe.

Police are investigating the matter.
