The Elsburg Rugby Club continued their Kestrel League campaign under the Valke Rugby Union with a match against the Heidelberg Rugby Club.
The teams met at Elsburg’s home ground, the Elspark Sports Grounds, on Saturday afternoon for the tough match.
Heidelburg controlled the first half 21-0.
However, the home side clawed their way back, scoring three tries before the final whistle.
Despite their best efforts Elsburg was beaten 21–15.
Ian Schroeder was named man of the match.
The Elsburg Rugby Club will face the Buffels, from Balfour, on Saturday in a home match.
