Enjoy a taste of India

Festival set to tantalise the senses.

With its sixth run in three years, Flavours of India, the largest Indian/Eastern shopping festival will return to Gold Reef City, from April 14 to May 2.

Guests can look forward to mouth-watering Indian cuisine, flamboyant traditional fashion and exquisite jewellery, gadgets for the household and live entertainment daily.

This celebration of culture is a great place to bring the whole family.

Lionel Chetty, Gold Reef City promotions and events manager said, “Flavours of India is an explosion of taste, colour, scent and touch, where visitors will be enchanted by an Eastern-inspired extravaganza of traditional Indian song and dance.”

The fair can accommodate thousands of visitors per day, offering more than 45 stalls to explore.

Guests can also indulge in popular Indian dishes, from the classic Durban bunny chow to spicy pineapples, fried mealies, burgers and hot dogs.

Traditional Indian curries and spicy nibbles are also set to tantalise the taste buds.

“Having hosted the event for the last three years, Gold Reef City has become the home of Flavours of India.

“The event is continuously a huge success and we encourage visitors to experience the authentic Indian cultural delights on offer,” said Chetty.

Lenz FM will host a Bhangra Bash where listeners will have the opportunity to meet their favourite presenters.

The Bhangra will start at 8pm on April 16 and 30.

The festival is set to start at 11am every day.
