Helpende Hand visits sick children

Solidariteit Helpende Hand Lambton visited the Bertha Gxowa Hospital for Easter.

Solidariteit Helpende Hand Lambton ensured that the children at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital had a special Easter.

The team visited the hospital’s children’s ward last Friday, March 25, to hand out Easter hampers and spend some time with the children.

The hampers were filled with a selection of sweet treats, juice, chips, a balloon and came with a soft toy for the children to enjoy after the sweets were gone.

“We appreciate the hospital allowing us to come and see the children,” said chairman Yolanda Hall.

The hospital staff on duty and the parents of the children also received some Easter treats.

The team thanked their sponsors, Copper Canyon Spur, Dischem Carnival Mall and Fifers Bakery in Spartan.

“We are appealing to the community to get involved in our future projects,” Hall said.

“All donations are welcome and arrangements can be made for collection.”

For more information call Hall on 078 422 7139, or email to Hally@saps.gov.za.
