A number of Germiston Callies Harriers athletes have been named as part of the Central Gauteng Athletics’ (CGA) junior national team.

Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) recently concluded the Provincial Championships and is now looking ahead to its next event.

Both the Junior and Senior Provincial Championships were held at the Germiston Stadium, and saw athletes travelling from across Gauteng to compete.

“It has been a great season for the CGA, producing great results in preparation for the championships,” said the organisation’s Mbalenhle Ngema.

The next event on the CGA calendar will be the National Championships for the sub-youth, youth, junior and u-23 age categories, which will be held at the Germiston Stadium from Thursday, March 31, to Saturday, April 2.

The programme will begin at 7am on Thursday and continue into the afternoon on Saturday.

The event is an important part of the selection process for the SA Championships.
