Time trials continue

A school athletics meeting at the Germiston Stadium meant a poor turn-out at this week’s Germiston Callies time trials.

Germiston Callies Harriers hosted their weekly time trials, last Tuesday.

The popular time trials started in January and are held outside the Germiston Stadium’s main gate, in Delville Road North, with 4km and 8km distances offered.

This week saw a poor turn-out due to a school athletics meeting which was held at the stadium.

Some of the times recorded in the 4km run were:

  •  Susan Mdaka with a time of 21 minutes and 51 seconds.
  •  Wikus van der Walt with a time of 22 minutes and 13 seconds.
  •  Udo Niederbroker with a time of 25 minutes and 52 seconds.
  •  Harold Niederbroker with a time of 27 minutes and 59 seconds.

Some of the times recorded in the 8km run were:

  •  Simon Gashi with a time of 42 minutes.
  •  Richard Nyathi with a time of 42 minutes.
