Police encourage students

Primrose police officers and members of the local CPF recently visited Hoërskool Vryburger High School to talk about a number of serious issues the students face.

“Study hard and become the leaders of tomorrow.”

These were the encouraging words of the Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, during a recent visit to Hoërskool Vryburger High School.

Vesi, accompanied by a team of officers from the Primrose Police Station and local CPF patrollers, visited the school to address issues of bullying and substance abuse.

During her presentation at the school, she assured the students that her team plans to visit the school regularly to ensure a safer learning environment for both students and teachers.

“You must respect your teachers as they will be the ones guiding you through you school career,” she said.

Before concluding her visit to the school, Vesi was joined on stage by Ward 93 councillor Primrose Sibidli who encouraged the students to always be on time for school.
