Guns and passports stolen in house robbery

Man nabbed for Sunnyridge house robbery.

A Sunnyridge home owner recently returned home to find his house had been broken into.

Upon further inspection he established that two firearms and two passports had been taken.

Officers from the Primrose Police Station were called to the Porter Road house to open a case of housebreaking and theft.

They discovered that the robber gained entry to the house by forcing open the front door.

After following several leads detectives were able to track down and arrest a 25-year-old man for the crime.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
