Primrose police’s latest arrest statistics

Primrose police nab 29 suspects in a week.

The Primrose police have shared their latest arrest statistics.

Twenty-five suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area between September 28 and October 4.

Suspects were arrested for the following:

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
  •  Common assault: 2
  •  Possession of stolen property: 3
  •  Rape: 1
  •  Business robbery: 1
  •  Malicious damage to property: 1
  •  Attempted murder: 1
  •  Murder: 1
  •  Housebreaking and theft: 1
  •  Common robbery: 4
  •  Theft: 1
  •  Illegal immigrants: 5

The Primrose SAPS acting station commander, Lieut-Col Frans Lepadima, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
