Pieter-Dirk Uys is certainly not past his sell-by date

Some of his most beloved characters make an appearance in a topical performance that makes the audience laugh uncontrollably while simultaneously giving commentary on local politics.

Audiences are treated to glimpses of some of his most loved and controversial characters who take you through his incredible life as an actor. It is a laugh-a-minute piece of satire worth making time to see Uys at its best. He transforms into characters with aplomb with minimal props and a stark stage meaning he has nothing to hide behind except his exceptional acting to ensure audiences leave glad they came.

Of course, beloved Evita Bezuidenhout makes an appearance, as well as PW Botha, Bambi Kellermann, Jimmy the Cape bergie and others during the 80-minute showcase.

The show runs until September 10 at the Pieter Toerien Main Theatre at Monte Casino in Fourways.
