The owner and dance teacher at Xstatic Dance Studios, Lindy Liebmann-Carnicelli has praised competitive dancers at the school who recently qualified for the World Dance Star Championships in Croatia next year.
This was after a number of dancers from the Fourways-based dance school participated in the Dance Star South Africa qualifiers competition held in Centurion.
Liebmann-Carnicelli said the dancers who qualified will represent team South Africa in Croatia in 2023. “A total of 12 of Xstatic Dance Studios top dancers competed at the dance star South African qualifiers to book their place at the World Dance Star Championships in Croatia next year. Our dancers competed in various styles as well as in solos and group to book their places.”
She said in the high school musical children’s open group category, which had dancers including Mikaela Hall, Aaliyah- Grace Biggs, Sienna Chloe Looser, Ava Longueira and Samantha Mullins performing as a group, they took first place in the competition.
Liebmann-Carnicelli congratulated all the dancers for their achievements and urged parents to continue supporting their children.
