Local music artist and songwriter finally releases her first album

The local artist said growing up in a musical family and being part of a school choir helped her nurture her singing talent.

Following a delay to release her first album in December last year, local hip-hop music artist and songwriter, Boitumelo Seale has finally released her album Emazulwini with eight tracks.

Seale said the delay was because of technical and legal issues that had to be finalised before the release.

She said growing up in a musical family and being part of a school choir helped her nurture her singing talent.

“I attended Musengavhadzimu Primary School and later attended at Diepsloot West Secondary School where I sang in the school choir. Participating in a school choir in both primary and high school made me fall in love with music and entertaining people.”

She said most of her songs spoke about different social ills and challenges faced by people, especially in disadvantaged communities such as Diepsloot.

“My music is all about life and everything we face as human beings on a daily basis. In this album, I worked with Nyiko Ngobeni who was my producer and featured the local music artist famously known as Skoroza.
“I’ve performed my songs in different events and people have shown love towards my music… it is available on different digital music platforms for downloads.”
