Riverside View-based music artist set to drop his two tracks after a 15-year break from the music industry

RIVERSIDE VIEW– Shika said mounting calls from his music fans made him take the decision to go back to music.

Riverside View-based gospel music artist Shika Shika will finally launch his new extended play (EP) with two hot tracks in March this year after a 15-year-long break from the music industry.

Shika last released his full album in 2004 and took a decision to stop doing music after members of his band died.

He explained, “I started singing and doing music at a very young age in church and successfully recorded two albums in 2003 and 2004. Things became difficult for me when members of my band died due to different causes of death in 2005 and 2006.

I lost strength and focus and decided to take a break from music. I think the loss was too much for me and I couldn’t handle it.”

With mounting calls from his music fans, Shika decided to go back to the studio last year and recorded two songs that will be released in March.

“There have been calls from general members of the public and people in the music industry asking me to go back to music. After a long and extensive conversation with myself, I decided to go back to the studio and successfully recorded two songs in a space of one week. The two tracks will be launched in March. I will also release a full album before June this year as an offering for their support.”

He added that his two tracks will be available on all digital music platforms after the official launch.
