Sibu shares passion

WATERFALL – Sibu Nzuza sings a song of love on his new offering titled, 'Grammable', a song he claimed to have been created from a place of nostalgia.

Sibu Nzuza sings a song of love on his latest track, Grammable.

The 29-year-old musician, who is based in Midrand explained that the song is a teaser release for his upcoming album which he will be dropping soon.

Nzuza said that the track is about how easy it is in the modern age to navigate a relationship through social media.

He explained that in older songs artists would say they would write to their loved ones or call in on the radio to say some beautiful words, whereas now, people and their loved ones are just a video call away.

“The song Grammable is about, for instance, that ‘grammable’ content we took the other day, meaning I will love you from afar until I can love you again when we are closer,” he explained.

Nzuza said that the song was inspired by Instagram because he would scroll through his feed and would see content that inspires him lyrically.

“The song does not necessarily speak to two people who are in a love relationship but also speaks to people who miss their grandmothers. I do get a lot of story tags where people would be putting up their pictures with their grandfathers, parents and lovers with the song playing in the background. Which is one clear message to everyone that the song is about love in general.”

Nzuza said the song was produced by himself and Phila Mac, who also resides in Midrand. He concluded that people could anticipate the same style of music in his upcoming album.
