Fourways Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO sends her warm Christmas message to members

FOURWAYS – This year has really been tough and something none of us ever expected or have ever experience in our lives before, Blackbeard said

The CEO of the Fourways Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Linda Blackbeard has shared her Christmas well-wishes with the members of the chamber and local community.

Blackbeard said the year had been a very tough year for the organisation and its members following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak earlier this year.

“This year has really been tough and something none of us ever expected or have ever experience in our lives before. We have tried our best to keep the members informed with the activities and constant communication. We have also started a completely new way of communicating, through virtual attendance.

“Although this can never beat the face to face interaction in the flesh, it has allowed our members to spend more time within their business spaces and attend webinars, Zoom meetings and stay on the go, with a good few winning with positive results,” she added.

She said the Covid-19 pandemic had prepared them for unforeseen future disasters and challenging times.

“Though this year brought some uncertainties in business, a lot of learning was achieved. We wish all our members, their families and businesses alike, all the best during this festive holidays.
“We look forward to engaging with them in the new year and we are always open to suggestions as to how we can assist them more. I trust that they are well prepared, focusing on what they need most, liaising and keeping positive amidst all the negativity.”
