Midrand police look back at 2020

MIDRAND – Midrand police look back at 2020 in their year-end message.

Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso wishes Midranders a peaceful festive season and happy New Year:
On behalf of all police and staff members at Midrand Police Station, I would like to wish the community and our internal and external partners a very peaceful festive season with their families and friends a happy 2021.

At this time of the year my message to you is to always take sensible precautions and be extra vigilant at all times. Keep yourselves and loved ones safe, those that are drinking alcohol are urged to do it responsibility. Keep valuables safely hidden when at the malls and lock your doors and windows properly. Remember all common-sense tips to avoid being the victim of crime and have a ruined festive season. Report any suspicious activities you witness to the police at anytime.

In the spirit of festivity, I would like to appeal to all of us to lend a helping hand to fellow humans by sharing and showing compassion, especially to the vulnerable among us.

Let us also console those who have unfortunately lost family members and friends through natural and unnatural causes during the course of the year.

I wish to thank everybody in our communities for the work they did this year to ensure that we succeed in fighting crime in our area.

It has been a successful year for Midrand SAPS and we thank our members for putting their lives on the line every day to fight crime in Midrand. We are making inroads, and we thank our stakeholders, CPF, SCF, community members and security companies, for assisting us every step of the way.
