Reports have emerged that a child has been hit by a bus in Diepsloot this afternoon [23 January].
The accident came amid heightened tensions in Diepsloot. Residents have been protesting since the early hours of this morning. There are varying reports on the reason for the protest action. These include better service delivery demands as well as protests against high levels of crime and the number of foreign nationals in the area.
