Kids of all shapes and sizes turned up for Canon’s Creative Park
JOHANNESBURG – It was a morning of creative crafts, yummy snacks and tonnes of laughs on 24 August as Canon South Africa and Get It Joburg North hosted the annual Canon's Creative Park at Longmeadow Farm in Fourways.
The beautiful venue was the perfect setting for the artistic morning as Canon demonstrated some seriously creative ways for children (and their mums and dads) to do paper crafts and more.
Get It Joburg North editor, Daniella Potter, welcomed the children and their parents to the event and expressed how very excited she and her team were to host them along with Canon. Potter explained the aim of the day was for everyone to get super creative, with help from the experts at Canon.
The Get It and Canon teams spent the morning helping the children to unleash their creativity, and the parents got stuck in too. Taking photos, cutting, sticking, colouring and tucking into a host of tasty treats were the orders of the day. And what fun it all was!
The children and their parents in attendance loved experimenting with the Zoemini printer to capture the fun moments of the day to create their scrapbooks.
When the creative juices were exhausted and Canon’s demonstrations were done, the children enjoyed playing ball and exploring.
There were also fantastic prizes up for grabs on the day. Parents walked away with Canon printers and cameras, cookbooks, Glad hampers, and Château Gâteaux vouchers. What a spoil!

Mums and dads, don’t miss out on the next event, Picture Perfect with Canon, where you’ll be taught how to take the most Instagram-able foodie pics by top food stylists. It’s a super-trendy topic!
