Glitz and glamour come to Montecasino as local film premiers

FOURWAYS – It was a night inspired by Hollywood as local production Red Room hosted a star-studded premiere at Montecasino on 25 February.

It was a night comparable to that of Hollywood glamour on 25 February when Montecasino hosted the premiere of a proudly South African film.

Red Room is a thriller/drama which stars Khanyi Mbau, alongside other local talents, as a woman who seems to have it all – an affluent lifestyle, successful husband and a baby on the way. But her perfect life comes crashing down around her when her husband commits suicide and she ends up on the street just days before she’s due to give birth. Although she eventually finds her way to a shelter, her new home hides dark and dangerous secrets.

The film was screened once at the Il Grande, Montecasino and once in Durban before it opens in theatres on 8 March.

“We are very proud to host this premiere with the full cast in attendance,” said Lisa Sukdev of Montecasino.
