Descendants 2 characters descended on Montecasino for the South African premiere of the film on 3 October.
A statement by the Disney Channel said Descendants 2 is filled with resounding themes about being true to yourself, friendship, women empowerment, discovering your individuality, teamwork and being confident in your own skin, among others.
There were a few South African celebrities who supported the premier with their children.
Part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, the global hit Descendants (2015) has reached more than 100 million total viewers worldwide. Its videos on Disney’s YouTube channels have amassed more than one billion views and the Descendants soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 album chart in its first week of release and also ranked number one on Billboard’s Soundtrack, Children’s, Digital Album and Top Albums charts.
