The Xstatic Dance Studio in Douglasdale, owned and run by Lindy Liebmann, recently had its top juniors participate in two of the biggest dance competitions in the country.

Liebmann’s top two junior dancers, Danni-Leigh Slater and Mikayla Parsons, both participated in the Dance World Cup qualifiers and were both qualified to represent the country in the showdance category.

Liebmann stated that her two dancing stars have also just returned from participating in the Battle of the Giants Dance Competition which takes place annually at Sun City and received the following results:

  • Parsons came in fourth place in the showdance category.
  • Slater came in fifth place in the showdance category.
  • Parsons came in fourth place in the jazz category.
  • Slater came in fourth place in the modern category.

“The above sections are all very tough and the two young girls, aged eight and nine, have progressed very swiftly in their budding dance careers,” Liebmann said.

She added that both girls started dancing under her instruction at the studio a mere two years ago.

“The girls will be demonstrating their creative routines, along with all the other Xstatic Dance students, at the annual mid-year showcase which will be held at the St. Peter’s College auditorium on 24 June from 9am,” Liebmann explained.
